Frequently asked questions
Which departure point should I choose — Ueno or Shinjuku?
Both are central Tokyo stations. Ueno departs at 07:30 and Shinjuku at 08:30 — pick whichever is closer to your hotel. The tour itinerary and end time are the same regardless of where you board.
Is lunch included in the price?
No. There is a two-hour lunch break around Lake Kawaguchi from approximately 12:00 to 14:00. Bring cash or a card to cover your own meal at one of the local restaurants.
Do I need to print my ticket, or is my phone enough?
A mobile ticket displayed on your phone is sufficient. Printed tickets are also accepted if you prefer.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Children aged two and under travel free of charge. The tour involves walking at several sites, including steps up to the Arakurayama viewpoint, so bear this in mind for very young children or pushchairs.
What languages does the guide speak?
Guided commentary is available in English or Chinese. Select your preferred language when booking.
What if Mount Fuji is hidden by cloud on the day?
Mount Fuji's visibility depends on weather conditions, which can change quickly. The tour runs regardless, and the sites — particularly Arakurayama Sengen Park and the heritage village — are worth visiting in their own right.
