Frequently asked questions
When does the pass clock start — from purchase or first use?
Validity begins on the first calendar day you use the pass and runs for the consecutive days you selected (one, two, or three). It does not start ticking from the moment of purchase.
Do children need their own pass?
Children aged 12 and under travel free on the MRT and buses covered by the pass. However, attraction entry fees and any applicable child discounts are determined by each individual venue, so check ahead for specific sights.
Can I visit each included attraction more than once?
The pass covers a single free admission per included attraction. Additional visits would require a separate ticket purchased at the venue.
Which buses are NOT covered by the pass?
Taipei and New Taipei city buses with four-digit route numbers are excluded. All other standard city bus routes within the two cities are included.
How do I choose and redeem my complimentary cultural activity?
Select one of the five available activities at the time of booking. On the day, go to the relevant venue and present your Taipei Fun Pass to staff at the entrance — they will verify it and get you started.
Is a printed ticket required, or can I use my phone?
A mobile ticket is accepted. You can present it on your phone at transport gates and attraction entrances without printing.
