Frequently asked questions
Do I need to book a specific sailing time in advance?
No — your ticket is open-dated. Simply arrive at the Majestic Fast Ferry counter at least one hour before the sailing you want, and a seat will be allocated subject to availability. During peak periods, it's worth emailing sales@thktour.com or calling +65 6344 6222 to reserve a spot ahead of time.
Which terminals can I depart from in Singapore?
You can sail from HarbourFront Centre (1 Maritime Square) or Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (50 Tanah Merah Ferry Road). On the Batam side, the ticket covers Batam Centre and Sekupang ports.
Is there a fuel surcharge, and do I pay it when I book?
From 12 March 2026, a fuel surcharge applies: SGD 6.00 per person departing from Singapore, and IDR 65,000 per person departing from Batam. This is paid directly at the ferry counter and is not included in the online ticket price.
What passport validity do I need?
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of travel. Make sure to check visa requirements for Indonesia before you go, as these vary by nationality.
What happens if I miss my reserved sailing?
The operator will not hold a reservation beyond the one-hour check-in window. If you miss your reserved departure, head to the counter and join the next available sailing — your open-dated ticket remains valid.
How do I know which sailings are running on my travel day?
Departure times and frequency can vary. Check the Majestic Fast Ferry official website for the current daily schedule before you travel.
