Where can I pick up the pass?

You can exchange your voucher at the JR Hokkaido ticket offices at New Chitose Airport Station, Sapporo Station, or Noboribetsu Station. It cannot be collected anywhere else.

Do all members of my group need to bring their passports?

Yes. Every traveller must present their original passport when redeeming the pass — photocopies are not accepted. For group bookings, the representative's name must also match the name used during booking.

When do the four days start — from the date I buy it, or the first time I use it?

The four days run consecutively from the first day you designate for use, not from the date of purchase. You choose the start date when you redeem the pass.

Can I use this pass to get from New Chitose Airport into Sapporo on arrival?

Yes. The pass covers JR Hokkaido services from New Chitose Airport Station, so you can use it for that first airport-to-city journey as long as it falls within your four active days.

Does this pass work on the Hokkaido Shinkansen?

No. The Hokkaido Shinkansen (Hayabusa and Hayate trains) is excluded. If you need to travel on those services, you will need to purchase a separate basic fare ticket.

My child is three years old — do I need to buy them a pass?

Children aged five and under travel free. Each adult or child pass holder may bring one child aged 1–5 at no charge. If you have more than one young child per pass holder, an additional ticket is required for the extra child.
