Explore Rottnest Island, just off the coast of Perth. Begin your adventure by boarding a ferry from either Fremantle or Perth. From Kingstown Barracks, hop on your Segway in the practice zone before setting off to explore the best of the island. Which departure point should I choose — Perth or Fremantle?
Both options are available at booking. Perth departs from Barrack Street Jetty (8:30 AM) and Fremantle from B Shed Ferry Terminal (9:00 AM). Choose whichever is more convenient for where you're staying.
Do I need any Segway experience?
None at all. The tour begins with a dedicated practice session so everyone is comfortable before the group heads out.
Is there a weight limit for the Segway?
Yes — riders must weigh at least 45 kg and no more than 117 kg (including any items attached to the handlebar, which must not exceed 4.5 kg).
Can children join the tour?
Children under 12 are not permitted on the Segway tour. Travellers aged 12–17 may participate but must be accompanied by an adult throughout.
What happens if the weather changes on the day?
The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions. Your guide will advise on the day if any adjustments are necessary.
Is the tour suitable for pregnant travellers?
The Segway tour is not recommended for pregnant women.
