The Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA" is a convenient and comfortable limited express train which directly links Kansai Airport with stations in the major cities in Kansai such as Kyoto. From Kansai-airport Station, it takes approximately 80 minutes to Kyoto. Sixty trains or around 30 round-trips run every day.

Do I need to print my ticket, or is a phone screen accepted?
It depends on the ticket type you choose. QR code tickets can be presented on your phone screen. Physical tickets must be collected at the station before you board — your booking confirmation tells you exactly where to go.
Can I take any JR train with this ticket, or only the Haruka?
The express portion is valid only on the Kansai-Airport Express 'Haruka'. However, within the ticket's limits you can also board Special Rapid, Rapid, and Local JR services. Using the express fare on a different limited express train will not be refunded.
How do I get a reserved seat?
Reserved seat coupons can be exchanged once at a Green Machine or Green Window at the station. If reserved seats are sold out, or if you haven't exchanged your coupon in time, you can board in the unreserved (free seat) carriage instead.
Is this ticket available to Japanese citizens?
No. The Haruka ticket sold here is intended for international travellers (non-Japanese citizens). You will need to present a valid passport when collecting or using the ticket.
My child is 5 — do I need to buy them a ticket?
Children under 6 travel free of charge. Each paying adult may bring up to two children under 6 at no cost. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.
Can I use this ticket to stop at intermediate stations, such as Shin-Osaka?
Yes — it is possible to alight at intermediate stations along the Haruka route, within the conditions of the ticket.
