Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy a separate Tube ticket?
Only if you book the Walking Tour with London Underground Trip option. You'll need a valid Zone 1 ticket before the tour starts — an Oyster card, contactless bank or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a printed Travelcard all work. The boat ride option requires no transport ticket.
Is this suitable for children who haven't read the books?
Yes. The Hogwarts House sorting and inter-house quiz are designed to be fun for all ages, and the route through historic Southwark and central London is engaging even for younger visitors with a passing interest in the films.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. A mobile ticket on your phone is accepted — simply show your booking confirmation to the guide at the meeting point.
What is the difference between the Underground and boat ride options?
The Underground option uses the Tube to extend the tour's reach across central London; you'll need a Zone 1 ticket. The boat ride option includes a Thames river journey in place of the Tube leg — no transport ticket needed.
Is the tour available in languages other than English?
A Mandarin-language version of the Underground tour is available. Select the Mandarin option when booking.
How much does it cost for young children?
Children under 4 years old are admitted free of charge.
