Frequently asked questions
When does the card's time period start — when I collect it or when I first use it?
The 24, 48, or 72-hour period begins from the moment you first activate the card (i.e. your first journey or museum entry), not when you collect it from the desk.
Where do I pick up the physical card?
You exchange your voucher for the card at any Ask Me Lisboa desk. Locations include Lisbon Airport arrivals hall, Praça do Comércio (Terreiro do Paço), Centro Tejo, the Codfish History Interpretation Center, and Cais do Sodré. Arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.
Can I use a mobile ticket or do I need to print my voucher?
You can present your voucher on a mobile device at the Ask Me Lisboa desk. You will then receive a physical card, which is what you use at attractions and on transport.
Do children need their own card?
Yes. Children aged 4 to 15 require a child ticket. Children under 4 travel free on public transport and may have free or reduced entry at some venues — check individual attraction policies.
Are all 51 attractions open every day?
Many museums and monuments are closed on Mondays. National museums and monuments are also closed on public holidays, 25 December, and 1 January. Some venues may be temporarily closed for restoration. Check current opening hours at visitlisboa.com before you visit.
Can I share the card with a travel companion?
No. The Lisboa Card is personal and non-transferable — each person in your group needs their own card.
