Departure from Las Vegas
Approx. 4–4.5 hrs drivingMake your own way to the meeting point — either Siren's Cove Boulevard (Option 1, 6:00 AM) or the Underground Tour Bus Lobby at Aria Hotel (Option 2, 6:30 AM) — and set off with your guide.
Drive through the Mojave Desert
Cross the Colorado River and travel through the Mojave Desert, with the landscape shifting dramatically as you head east towards Arizona.
Arrival at the Grand Canyon South Rim
Arrive at the park and begin exploring — Option 2 includes an IMAX film or Hummer ride at this stage if you've selected that upgrade.
Mather Point
Pause at one of the South Rim's most celebrated viewpoints for unobstructed panoramas across the canyon and the Colorado River far below.
Kolb Studio and Bright Angel Lodge
Visit the historic Kolb Studio and Bright Angel Lodge, perched right on the rim, and take in the view near the top of Bright Angel Trail.
Yavapai Point (Option 2)

Lunch at the National Geographic Visitor Centre
Enjoy a sit-down lunch at the park's exclusive visitor centre — included in the tour price.
Free time in the park
Explore independently: walk a section of the Rim Trail, browse the visitor centre, or find a quiet spot to take it all in.
Return to Las Vegas
Board the coach for the return journey, arriving back in Las Vegas by approximately 7:00 PM (Option 1) or 9:30 PM (Option 2).

Frequently asked questions
Which departure option should I choose?
Option 1 departs from Siren's Cove Boulevard at 6:00 AM and returns by around 7:00 PM — a full but manageable day. Option 2 departs from Aria Hotel at 6:30 AM and returns by around 9:30 PM, giving more time at the canyon and the chance to add an IMAX film or Hummer ride. Choose based on your hotel location and how much time you want at the park.
What are the IMAX and Hummer upgrades?
The IMAX option lets you watch a large-format film about the Grand Canyon's geology and history before exploring the rim. The Hummer option takes you on a guided off-road tour of the canyon area. Both are available on Option 2 only and must be selected at the time of booking.
Is lunch really included, and where do we eat?
Yes — lunch is included for all guests (except children under 2) and is taken at the National Geographic Visitor Centre inside the park. Morning tea is also provided during the journey.
Do I need to print my ticket?
A mobile ticket is accepted; there is no need to print unless you prefer to. Have your booking confirmation ready to show at the meeting point.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Yes. Children under 2 travel free of charge, though no seat will be reserved for them and lunch is not provided for that age group. Older children are welcome and will receive the full experience.
What languages is the tour available in?
The live guide operates in English. For South Rim tour options, an audio guide is available in English, French, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
