The Sagano Romantic train travels a leisurely, 25-minute route from Saga torokko station to Kameoka torokko Station with a total length of 7.3 km, following the scenic beauty of the Hozukyo Ravine on its route in a art deco train with gold and black patterns on the red covering. Saga torokko station, is adjacent to JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, featuring painstakingly recreated miniature versions of Kyoto's historical sites and neighborhood scenes.

Do I need to print my ticket?
No. Present the original e-voucher on your mobile phone. A screenshot will not work because the voucher contains a clickable link you may need to access your seat details.
Can I choose my own seat?
Seats are pre-assigned at the time of booking. You can review your assigned seat via the link in your voucher and request a change through the same link, subject to availability.
Is the ride available in both directions?
Yes. You can book from Saga Torokko to Kameoka Torokko, or from Kameoka Torokko to Saga Torokko. Each ticket covers one direction only.
Are children charged for a ticket?
Children under 6 travel free. One baby (under 1 year) may accompany one adult and one child at no charge, provided the baby does not occupy a seat. Toddlers aged 1–6 and babies who need a seat require a child ticket.
Can I bring food or drinks on the train?
Only drinking water is permitted. All other food and beverages are not allowed onboard.
How do I check if the train is running on the day I visit?
