Will the cable car definitely be running on my visit?

The Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car is closed for maintenance from 12–23 January 2026. During this period, the Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car operates in its place (daily 7:00 AM–11:00 PM). Note that this alternative route does not stop at Chin Swee Caves Temple.

Is there a dress code at Batu Caves?

Yes. The temple has a strict dress code — shoulders, back, and knees must be covered. Bring a scarf or light sweater to cover up if needed, or wear compliant clothing from the start of the day.

Can I bring my toddler on this tour?

Children under 3 are welcome at no charge, but no seat will be reserved for them. Bear in mind the tour involves a 272-step staircase at Batu Caves and a cable car ride, so plan accordingly.

Is this tour suitable if I have mobility difficulties?

This tour is not suitable for travellers with back or heart conditions, other serious medical conditions, or wheelchair users and those with walking disabilities, due to the physical demands of the cable car and the Batu Caves staircase.
