We had one afternoon free in Kansai so we had a good time and would cautiously recommend Kansai Railway Pass. Some parts were exceptional; others felt underprepared. One of the highlights of our trip.
We booked this on a whim and we had very high expectations for Kansai Railway Pass and they were surpassed at every turn. The value for money is exceptional.
Our guide made all the difference β the guide was passionate, funny, and endlessly informative. I learned things about Kansai I never knew. Exactly what we hoped for.
Kansai Railway Pass had its moments but overall did not fully match what was described. The core elements are good, just needs polishing.
We had done something similar elsewhere and Kansai Railway Pass compared very favourably. Well worth the time. Already planning our next visit.
