Frequently asked questions
Where exactly does the tour start?
The guide picks you up directly from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. If your accommodation is outside this area, contact the operator before booking to confirm whether pick-up is possible.
What is the difference between the motorbike, car, and cyclo options?
The motorbike option includes a local meal and gives you an immersive street-level experience. The car options (for 2–5 or 6–10 people) are more comfortable and private. The cyclo add-on replaces part of the car tour with a 30-minute pedal-powered ride through the Old Quarter. All options visit the same landmarks.
Is there a dress code at the sites?
Yes. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, and Tran Quoc Pagoda all require covered shoulders, back, and knees. Bring a scarf or light layer if your outfit doesn't already comply — entry can be refused otherwise.
Can I bring my children on this tour?
Yes. Children under 4 years old are free of charge, though no seat will be reserved for them. Older children are welcome and should be counted when selecting your ticket option.
Does the tour run in the afternoon as well as the morning?
Yes. All ticket options are available as either a morning departure (pick-up 7:45–8:00 AM, return approx. 1:00 PM) or an afternoon departure (pick-up 1:45–2:00 PM, return approx. 6:00 PM).
Will the itinerary definitely follow this order?
The route and timing are subject to change due to traffic and weather conditions, which are common variables in Hanoi. Your guide will manage any adjustments to keep the experience as smooth as possible.
