Make your own way to the Sightseeing Experience Visitor Center in the ticket office atrium; the tour departs at 6:40 AM.

Head south by coach or train through the Tuscan and Ligurian countryside towards the coast.

Explore the village often called the Pearl of Cinque Terre, with its dense cluster of tower-houses rising directly from the rock above the harbour.

Ride the train one stop and wander the steep, narrow lanes of Riomaggiore, stopping to photograph the boats pulled up below the colourful facades.

Board a local boat for the short coastal crossing to Vernazza, arriving at the only natural harbour in Cinque Terre (replaced by train in adverse weather).

Browse the small piazza, pick up local wine or pesto, and soak up the views from the harbour wall at your own pace.

The final stop is the largest and most beach-friendly of the five villages; swim, relax, or explore the old town before the return journey.

Arrive back in Florence at approximately 7:40 PM.
