No prior experience is needed. The guide will help you identify species and use the checklist, making this suitable for complete beginners as well as enthusiastic birders.

Are binoculars provided?

Binoculars are not listed as included equipment. We recommend bringing your own pair if you have them; your guide can advise on spotting techniques if you don't.

What is the difference between the morning and afternoon sessions?

Both sessions cover the same experience along Desaru Coast. Morning light is generally favoured by birdwatchers as many species are most active at dawn, but both slots offer strong sighting opportunities.

Can I bring my young child?

Children under 5 are welcome at no charge, though no seat will be reserved for them. A maximum of one free child is permitted per every two paying adults.

Where does the transfer pick me up?
