Learn to ride the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on our training field. Have-lunch at the riverside camp and continue by our guides will brief you for instructions on paddling and river safety.(Now comes the whitewater rafting, agreed by many guests to be one of the very best in Asia. After 2 hours of rafting fun, stop at downstream camp where you can change your clothes and take a break before returning to Chiang Mai.

Hotel pickup

ATV briefing and introduction
On arrival at the Mae Taeng site, guides walk you through safety precautions and ATV controls on the training field before you set off.

Do I need any experience to join the ATV ride or rafting?
No prior experience is needed. Safety briefings and practical introductions are given for both the ATV and the rafting before each activity starts, and guides accompany you throughout.
Where exactly does the tour pick me up?
Pickup is from your hotel lobby, provided your accommodation is within 5 km of Chiang Mai city centre. Your confirmed pickup time will be on your e-voucher — use that as the definitive reference.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day?
In cases of extreme weather, the itinerary or tour may be cancelled or modified. The operator will contact you before the trip if this applies. It is worth having appropriate travel insurance in place.
Is insurance included, or do I need to arrange my own?
Basic insurance is included in the tour price. However, for high-risk activities like ATV riding and white water rafting, you are advised to also hold appropriate personal travel insurance from your home country.
Can I bring my phone or camera on the water?
Avoid bringing unnecessary valuables — the operator is not liable for loss or damage. Rafting photos are captured by the team and included in your booking, so you will have professional shots without the risk.
